Travel Information

Travel Documents
You will receive your final Holland America Travel Documents approximately 30 days prior to sailing. In this package will be an immigration form that you must fill out and present prior to boarding.
     
Immigration - Passport Required for all Holland America guests.

All Holland America Line guests must have passports for travel commencing on or after January 8, 2007. A passport will be required by the United States Department of State for all air and sea travel as of January 8, 2007. Denmark and Norway also require all United States Citizens to present a valid passport that will not expire within 6 months of the last day of travel.

Arrival and Departure Time
Please plan to arrive into Copenhagen International Airport prior to 1:30pm on Friday, July 13, 2007.
Please plan to depart out of Copenhagen International Airport anytime after 12:30pm on Monday, July 23, 2007.
 
Airline Reservations
You may book your own travel arrangements, or EMI can assist you with your airline reservations. Please call 800-225-5364 x 2179 if you would like assistance with your airline reservations. If you book your own airline itinerary, please either e-mail a copy of your itinerary to EMI-PHCCruiseTravelServices@eminj.com or fax a copy to EMI at 908-864-5801.
 
Immunizations
There are no required immunizations for travel to Denmark, Norway and most of Western Europe. More information can be found at http://www.cdc.gov/travel/westeurp.htm.
 
Travel Insurance/Travel Medical Insurance
Travel Insurance is optional, but strongly recommended. Medicare and many health insurance plans DO NOT cover the cost of medical care at sea, in foreign countries, or for air evacuation. Guests are encouraged to obtain travel medical insurance as well as travel trip insurance prior to travel in order to be reimbursed for services rendered. Please note this is your only option for reimbursement after May 15, 2007. Please visit TravelGuard for more information.

Age Requirements

Guests under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone who is at least 25 years old. Please note that documentary evidence of relationship and permission for a child to travel is required when only one parent is traveling with the child.

 
Disability Accommodations

Holland America Line is committed to providing safe, easy, and accessible accommodations for all persons with disabilities, to the extent that is feasible. Holland America Line offers a limited number of staterooms designed to be wheelchair and scooter accessible. Holland America also offers several accommodations to passengers requiring oxygen or with other medical needs. Smoking

Smoking is allowed in your stateroom and in designated areas on outside decks. Smoking is not permitted in public areas such as the main dining room, bars and show venues.

 
Club Hal

Club Hal provides a wide variety of exciting activities for kids ages 5 to 12. All activities are supervised by permanent, full-time Club Hal directors and assistants. Baby-sitting services are available for a small surcharge and must be booked in advance. Dinner Seatings
There will be two dinner seatings onboard the ms. Veendam. The early seating will begin at 5:30pm and the late seating will begin at 7:45pm. Guests dining at the early seating will have reserved seats for the late show. Guests dining at the late seating will have reserved seats for the early show. Please specify which seating you prefer on the registration page when you reserve your cabin.
