Mary Ann Chupka
Managing Partner

Mary Ann Chupka brings a solid background and wealth of experience to each event she manages. Mary Ann specializes in financial, insurance and pharmaceutical industry events. She is well aware of the intricacies and subtleties required in those fields and she has successfully incorporated the right balance of planning, contingencies, project management and budget analysis to produce events that keep clients coming back for more. 

Since 1994, when Mary Ann joined EMI, her clients have known that they can count on her and EMI to deliver quality events every time.

Nancy Aira
Managing Partner

Nancy Aira has provided event management services across the entire range there is; from small events of 10 attendees to massive conferences with over 40,000 people. You can’t throw something at Nancy that she hasn’t already seen and tackled.

From her time with American Express Group & Incentive Services (AEGIS) to her deep tenure with EMI, Nancy understands the full depth of delivering quality events. Her prior roles include operations manager, program manager and executive director. She has worked her way through the process and brings all of that experience to all of the events that she manages. 

Lisa Zubia

Lisa Zubia is a veteran of the event planning business. She started her career with Continental Airlines (New York Air) learning the complexities and logistical challenges of the travel industry. This would prove invaluable as Lisa moved to EMI.

Lisa brings that experience to events of all sizes. She manages meetings and incentive programs, both domestically and internationally with attendees numbering from 20 to 5,000 people.

Like everyone at EMI, Lisa prides herself on her pursuit of service excellence.

Robert M. Giaimo

Founder of Executive Meetings & Incentives, Bob began his career in the travel industry in 1975 with American Airlines. Moving rapidly from passenger service, to sales and marketing, he acquired the necessary skills and industry contacts to further his career in the travel incentive field. In 1982 with some of these contacts and a dream, Bob formed EMI. He has extensive domestic and international travel experience. As Director of Operations of EMI, he brings the creative flair and a vision of excellence to each of EMI’s clients programs.

Bob has a son and two daughters, as well as a grandson that keep him busy.   He enjoys playing golf, boating, traveling and music.

Ron Umphenour
Consultant & Board Member

Ron has served on the EMI board since 2013, and more than 30 years at Johnson & Johnson serving in executive positions in sales, marketing and business development.

Ron developed and managed the biotechnology sales organization of Ortho Biotech that launched PROCRIT, the most successful product in the history of J&J to that point. He later led a Business Development team that created another company, Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, and acquired several health care services and consulting businesses. He also was responsible for the first enterprise-wide contracting process for J&J. Ron returned to the biotechnology sector to lead Worldwide Strategic Business Development to identify and target potential L&A candidates.

Ron serves on the Foundation Board of Directors for the University of Central Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and sits on the Investment and Audit committees. He and his wife, their daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter live in New Jersey. He also has a daughter and son who live in Los Angeles.

Jessica Honl
Sr. Program Manager

Jessica joined EMI in 1999.  She is a detail-oriented professional with strengths in multi-tasking, planning and execution.  Besides managing our corporate travel, Jessica excels in her customer service skills, logistical planning and specialty events.

While away from the office, Jessica enjoys reading, going to the beach, spending time with her family and attending her children’s sporting events.

Dina Rego
Sr. Program Manager

Dina started her career at EMI in 1988.  Highly enthusiastic and self-motivated, Dina is consistently recognized by our clients and her peers for her outstanding work.  She is passionate about flawless execution of each program and great client service.  Dina is also multi-lingual which has truly been an asset throughout her career.

Dina enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Carolyn Acevedo
Sr. Manager Specialized Accts.

Hired in 2000, Carolyn’s reliability and personable demeanor make her a great asset to the EMI team.  Carolyn is the medical education meeting specialist at EMI and also lends her exceptional communication and organizational skills to other client projects.  She enjoys the challenges that each event brings, and her attention to detail is unmatched. 

When she is not working, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons who are active in sports.  She is an avid NY Yankees fan and loves summers at the Jersey shore. 

 

Lisa Pergola
Director of Finance

Lisa is a dedicated professional who has been providing quality financial guidance and advice for over thirty years. Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant as well Certified Financial Planner. As a trusted advisor, Lisa provides essential tax planning strategies, assists with day-to-day office management and handles all of our accounting needs. 

Lisa loves spending time with her husband and two golden retrievers. She enjoys summers at the shore, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
